Our engineers work on site with both headquarters and the factory floor to build a cyber BCP for each company. After that, an AI agent handles revisions, drills, and incident instructions, so the plan keeps running without a dedicated specialist in-house.
OVEL Inc. (Shibuya, Tokyo; Representative Director Kosei Oka) will launch Cyber BCP Mawashitsuzukeru-kun on October 20, 2026. The AI agent builds, updates, and runs incident response for business continuity plans designed for cyberattacks (cyber BCPs). It is aimed at large enterprises, mainly in manufacturing. Rollout is led by our forward-deployed engineers (FDEs), who are versed in control systems (OT). The first version of the plan typically takes 3 to 6 months, and pricing is quoted per engagement.
Background: factories can't stop, can't be touched, and no one is watching
According to Japan’s National Police Agency, ransomware reports in the first half of 2026 reached 123, the most for any half-year since records began in the second half of 2020. An intrusion may start on the IT side, but it is the factory floor that stops. Plans that assume every attack can be blocked no longer work, and most companies have a BCP for natural disasters but not one built for cyberattacks.
What the service does
Our FDEs interview headquarters teams and the factory floor, map how operations depend on systems, and build a BCP that assumes a cyberattack. We then define an AI agent for each company around that BCP. In normal times it revises the plan and runs drills; in an incident it gives instructions that follow procedures approved in advance. People approve changes and make any call the procedures do not cover.
